Walgreens Ad 3/16: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for March 16 - 22, 2014.

Also, Walgreens is running a Happy Cash promotion beginning March 16.  When you spend $30 or more AFTER Walgreens coupons, but BEFORE manufacturer coupons, you'll earn a $5 Happy Cash certificate to use the following week.

Spend $50 or more in a single transaction (again AFTER Walgreens coupons, but BEFORE manufacturer coupons) and you'll earn a $10 Happy Cash certificate!

Best deals in the 3/16 Walgreens ad

• Mucinex 24-Hour Allergy Relief -- on sale for $7.50 per 5-count box.  Use the $5 off coupon arriving in the 3/16 Smartsource insert, then submit for the $2.50 mail in rebate form that was found in the 2/23 Smartsource insert.  Your box will be free!
• Shotz All Natural Energy Drink -- 2-count packs on sale for $5, with $5 back in Register Rewards.  So free!
• Lindsay Olives -- on sale for 99 cents per can with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack this $1 off 2 coupon.  Your new price drops to 49 cents.
• Brut Deodorant -- on sale for $1.49 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 3/16 Smartsource insert and grab yours for 49 cents each.
• Sure Deodorant -- also on sale for $1.49 each.  Use the $1 off coupon arriving in the 3/16 Smartsource insert and pay 49 cents for yours.
• Dawn Dish Liquid -- 9 oz bottles on sale for 99 cents.  Use this 50 cents off coupon (sort by Household to find it fast) and get yours for just 49 cents.
• Right Guard Xtreme Clear Antiperspirant or Deodorant -- on sale 2 for $6.  Stack the $1 off 2 coupon from the Walgreens coupon book with two of the $2 off coupons arriving in the 3/16 Red Plum insert, and get yours for 50 cents apiece.
• Colgate Max Fresh or Total Toothpaste -- on sale 2 for $5, with $2 back in Register Rewards.  Use this $2 off 2 coupon (sort by Personal Care) and pay a final price of 50 cents per tube.
• Renuzit Cones -- on sale for 89 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Buy three and stack this $1 off 3 coupon.  That knocks your price down to 56 cents each.
• Campbell's Condensed Soups -- on sale for 79 cents with in-ad coupon.  Buy five and stack this $1 off 5 coupon.  That drops your price down to 59 cents per can.
• Pledge Multi Surface Everyday Cleaner -- on sale 2 for $7, with 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two in the same transaction (like $1 in buying power on a future transaction.)  Use the BOGO coupon from the 2/9 Smartsource insert, then submit for the $1 Checkout 51 offer.  That knocks your final price down to 75 cents per bottle!  Plus, note new Checkout 51 accounts will also receive a free $2 bonus when they upload their first offer -- which makes this a 50 cent money-maker.
• Brach's Easter Jelly Beans -- on sale 2 bags for $3.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the March Walgreens coupon book and pay a buck per bag instead.
• Clairol Nice N Easy or Nice N Easy Root Touchup -- on sale 2 for $12, with $5 back in Register Rewards when you spend $20 or more.  So buy four for a pre-coupon price of $24, then use two BOGO coupons from the 3/2 P&G insert.  Your price drops to $12 oop, then you'll receive your $5 in Register Rewards.  So that's a final price of $7 for 4 boxes, or just $1.75 each!  You may also be able to submit for a fifth box of hair color for free through the Clairol Platinum Rewards program.
• Tide Simply Clean & Fresh -- 25-load bottles on sale for $2.99 with in-ad coupon.  Stack the 50 cents off coupon from the 3/2 P&G insert, and your price drops to $2.49 per bottle.  That's right at a dime per load, which is my personal stockpile price for Tide.
• Disney's Frozen -- on sale Tuesday, March 18 for $16.99 per DVD or $23.99 per Blu-ray combo pack.
• Purex Laundry Detergent -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this $1.50 off 2 coupon (sort by Household to find it fast) to drop your price even further.  NOTE: CVS will be running a Buy 1 Get 2 Free sale this same week.
• Dial Body Wash -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use two of the $1 off Dial coupons arriving in the 3/16 Red Plum insert to drop your price down even further.  Also, check your Ibotta app for a $1 off rebate offer.
• Tone Body Wash -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this $1.50 off 2 coupon to get yourself a better price.
